Okay, I have to let this one out, or it'll eat at me.
Everything about this one is incredibly outside my experiences.
The dream starts off with me at work as normal. It must be a Friday, as the office is busier than normal. This week, I see a co-worker I haven't seen in a few months (this is normal--most of my co-workers don't have the luxury of a normal office space as I do). The stress of her job has caused her relationship (which, to my knowledge, continues to exist IRL) to fail. Honestly, given our field, this kind of eventuality isn't terribly surprising.
One thing leads to another, and we're having a very high school romance. She's coming in to the office on a more regular basis, and when she does, there are invariably stolen moments. The whole course of the dream seemed like it was over several months, but this was a single dream.
Here's the thing: I thought I'd long since killed the part of me that was remotely capable of such ideas several years ago. It caused problems for me, and since it was never something I was fully capable of integrating into myself, I destroyed it. Is it growing back like some badly infected tonsils?
