Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I just got a Toshiba Thrive(my first tablet), and have been reading up on the benefits of rooting the device. Unfortunately I own a macbook and I'm having trouble finding an easy way to root my thrive with my mac. Does anyone know the best way I could do this thing?
