Newbie player help.

Hello,

I am a LoL player and I recently received DOTA 2. I just want to ask about items. How do you guys build the heroes, lets say, an intelligence hero or strength.

Is there any preferred lane for a hero type (such as mid is usually a mage in LoL).

Is a jungler viable?

Heroes that I can pick up and get familiar with the game easily and possible item builds on them.
