Learning... Arabic.

So. I've done the requisite trawling of various forums, reddit inclusive. The only forum i've found that /appears/ to be of any significance in terms of language learning/acquisition is: http://how-to-learn-any-language.com/forum/ However, i'm sure i've overlooked many a resource, despite my extensive research. You never know what might be buried %n pages deep in google, bing, etc. I have Rosetta Stone, but i've found it to be less than optimal, in terms of learning the functional grammar of Arabic (or any other language, for that matter). What my initial delving has revealed is this: nearly everyone stresses immersion as the optimal route to learning a language. For the time being, this isn't an option. So, i'm hoping to leverage whatever i can to facilitate absorbing as much of the language & its ruleset as quickly as possible. Any insights?
