If you could identify one value that stretched across religious boundaries, what would it be?
Today, I find my self increasingly spiritual and decreasingly traditional in practicing my faith. I believe there must be a better tool for moral guidance then "right and wrong" and I believe that tool is compassion. As a Christian (Catholic) I see a calling to act out of compassion more and more. Out of compassion, God stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac; Out of compassion, Jesus died for our sins.
When you look at your faith, what guides your moral focus?
