Joining the Navy and have a few questions.

Hey guys, my husband is joining the Navy and we were wondering from people who have been in the Navy what were some good careers to choose and get started in? His interests are anything to do with aviation, and computers. He has taken a few ASVABs and has got decent scores. He has been working out the past few months but injured his ankle a month ago, and it still hurts when he runs, should he wait until that is completely healed? Or should he join DEP so it can heal then, and that way he will at least be enlisted, we are just unsure if he will pass the physical. He will be 26 next month so we are trying to get this started.
