In which game did your character feel the most like you?
Basic question, just wondering how folks will answer. Which game made you feel the most like yourself? How did you like it?
For me, personally, I have to go with Mass Effect. My FemShep looked a lot like me(I need to take screenshots sometime) and felt like... Well, a frustrated, stressed out version of me. It was very cathartic. All the Renegade actions were like "That's it, out of my way. I've got a freakin' universe to save, people." The no-nonsense attitude, the masculine body language, I really, really identified with her. God I loved that game.
As far as games where you don't create your own character(since that was kind of a cop-out), uhhh... Honestly, GRID is my favorite racing game, and it was amazing that they not only let you input your own name, but also had voice-overs for just as many common female names as male ones, plus nicknames for anyone left out. Hearing the announcer say "Good work Amber, you won!" was such a nice touch, even if I never saw my character or interacted with anyone. Felt just a little more like I was actually the one driving.
