A bit of a specific question about intrinsic Tryptophan fluorescence...

Does anyone know of any articles that can explain the effect on intrinsic Tryptophan fluorescence when 2 Tryptophans are in close proximity and/or aligned? I've been told there are weird properties that will appear, but my search through the literature has been unsuccessful so far.
