Wellbody is searching for a Medical Director to coordinate our community health programs and collaboration with the district's government hospital. Responsibilities include the following:

Oversee clinical programs both at our Amputee Clinic (for example, HIV, TB, ANC, programs, etc…) and Koidu Government Hospital (for example, male and female wards if internal medicine trained, pediatric ward if peds trained)

Develop specialty clinics (epilepsy, cervical cancer screening, eye care, etc...)

Engage in routine patient care

Consult on difficult cases with other health professionals

Be part of the management team at clinic and government hospital

Supervise volunteer services of medical students and visiting health professionals

Conduct refresher trainings with health professionals (continuing medical education)

Engage in public health programs as interested This position requires a full-time commitment of at least 6 months beginning on or before July 1, 2012, a willingness to live in a small town in Sierra Leone, and a passion for social justice.
