I've been handling stuff, my own issues, for the past 3 years, without a job. I'm trying to get back into one. How can I explain the gap?
Okay.
SO, here's the story.
I've been Jobless for the past 4 years. Partly by Choice. Partly by non-choice. It's been a hectic 4 years. Taking care of my close boyfriend and his mental issues, trying to do cruddy at home freelance work, and what not to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads.
Boyfriend got Social Security Disability after arguing and fighting for the past 3 and a half years. Things are evening out. I can breathe a sigh of relif for the first time in yeaaaaaars, and for the first time for a week, I felt at peace.
I've tried applying for Jobs, I always call back, but....they all don't like this large unexplainable gap, even though I plainly put /why/. (I don't have records, can't prove it, etc, etc.)
Am I completely un-hireable now or what? What can I do to make this better?
