I am unsure about this telescope.

My dad bought me a Celestron AstroMaster 144EQ for Christmas. I don't know too much about telescopes, but my dad knows even less about them, so I am unsure of both his and my ability to judge the quality of a telescope. I know that Celestron is generally well-received, but I hear that they also make some low-end telescopes, as well. What does r/Astronomy think? Thanks.
