Why does christmas and steam sale bring out the worst in folks?

Heya reddit! so here goes....

Was really wanting the killing floor bundle. So i decided to get on a steam trading site. One that quite a few people use and one that i have traded at before. Put up the normal I have x would like x post sat back and waited. Lo and behold after an hour or so I got a response. guy seemed very nice. Gave me a good offer on the killing floor bundle. So i told him to add me on steam. The trade was 20 coals i had and two games that were in my inventory. I proceeded to open the trade and he stopped and said they had to be gifts that were emailed. Seeing as how he was telling me about his kids and all i thought he was an honest bloke so i traded the items and waited for my bundle. never came. Had a terrible xmas as it was my wife lost her job at borders. i am unemployed but we tried to make it good for the family. Didnt really have money for gifts but i understand that times is tough. But robbing me of the little joy that i was hoping i might have and my damn coal, has dampened me into a state of depression. So if you read this and you remember me thanks for that i hope you enjoy the games and got something good with the coals. Merry christmas. Perhaps you needed them more than me. Not trying to get games or scam. Just venting.
