O.K. bluebeards products...friend or foe?

I've been so exited...my gf got me the gift pack...I used it, and have some comments...Wonder Beard; used it first as suggested. Seemed ok for a shower conditioner...used the Beard saver third (needed it after...) after shower, I checked out the Beard Wash. Holy crap! I thought I put battery acid on my face!..first use, but I'm not impressed. Can't tell her because she spent way too much on this stuff. I do like the smell. Any suggestions or advise? My 5 month beard will die if I keep that up...
