I removed some moderators from the subreddit.
Some names were removed from the moderators of the subreddit. This wasn't intended to be any sort of slight. Rather, it's about having points-of-contact that are involved with the server who can fix things. Since so much is about to change, and since so much already has changed, it makes more sense to remove the moderators who aren't up-to-date.
An item on the agenda for Thursday's pow-wow is who is going to be ops for the new server. Some names who were ops on the last server will not be ops on the new one. The reasoning is the same: too much has changed/will change, and there's too much damage that can be caused accidentally. For example, things like accidentally spawning an Enderdragon at spawn. :D (That never happened.)
Again, no slighting intended, it's just a matter of good practices and safety, and having only ops who are truly involved in and capable of administrating the server.
As far as I am concerned, the current list of subreddit moderators will also be the server ops. But it's open to discussion at the meeting. Be there if you are unhappy with getting your ops status revoked.
