Studying abroad in Amsterdam this semester
So I'm leaving February 3rd to study abroad at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and I've been researching as much as possible out of excitement and I just stumbled on this subreddit. I'll be living in a dorm in Uilenstead for 6.5 months (til mid august) and I was hoping for any advice from redditors on anything to be prepared for or any cool spots to check out (in other nearby countries as well). Also, what is the general vibe/reputation of the university and the surrounding area? I'm from North Carolina and I haven't left the country much so I'm expecting some culture shock but I can't wait to move there. Any help is appreciated.
