Why stop at getting Rob Zerban elected? Why not the rest of congress?
Good politicians exist, the problem is funding. Redditors should pick a politician for specific districts and fund them. Within a decade we could have a substantial portion of congress changed with legitimate, hardworking, and most importantly politicians who are not funded and bound by a corporation’s agenda.
As an example of the power of the reddit collective, recently r/atheism raised 200,000$ for doctors without boarders. That's only one subreddit, imagine what reddit as a whole could do for a cause that would eventually directly affect every citizen. I'm sure other websites like 4chan.org would also get on board, whether it be through funding or detective work against the opposing candidates.
We are at a critical time in our country as well as a critical mass of citizens that are informed and connected.
We can make a fundamental difference in our country, and the world.
We can do this.
