Don't give up. It will get better.

Please don't give up, it will eventually get better. I know it's hard to believe and it feels like your world is crashing down. Just hold on. I'm going to share my story and I hope it gives you a little hope.. I grew up in a very abusive home. My father was physically and verbally abusive I went through every day receiving insult and hits non-stop. This lasted until I was about 10 or 11 when my parents split up. I was very depressed and turned to cutting and developed anorexia. I would cut almost every day, my arm was just a scabby wreck. I was 100 pounds and 5'6 in eighth grade and was still losing weight. I didn't have enough energy to dance during dance class, and I was too embarrassed to show my arms. This continued for a good 4-5 years. It wasn't until I joined swim team in my freshman year of highschool( where I couldn't hide the cuts or the fact I was dangerously underweight) that I realized I needed to stop. I started writing poetry and short stories and found other outlets to release emotional tension. If I thought I was about to have a break down, I would write, sing, punch a pillow, anything that wouldn't hurt me. I am now halfway through my sophomore year in high school, I am cut free, and healthy. I am happy and now have many friends who love me and support me. Don't lose hope. Find something you enjoy and let your emotions run free, cry if you need to, call a close friend or someone you trust, write a poem, even if it sucks it really does help. Listen to happy music. Do anything that doesn't include hurting yourself. You are worth it. You are loved. You are important. You are far too amazing to do something like commit suicide. I hope this helped a little. If you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to send me a message here on reddit. Sorry if I don't reply right away. I love you all!
