Christmas Leftovers Soup Recipe

So we had a lot of leftover Christmas food, and I came up with this soup idea that was delicious! The recipe is as follows:

  • 1 small onion
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 1-1.5 cups leftover turkey
  • .25-.5 cups leftover ham
  • 1-2 cups leftover cornbread dressing
  • 4 chicken bouillon cubes
  • a few tbsp. of leftover giblet gravy, if you have it
  • spices: salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, garlic powder, tumeric

Bring 5-6 cups of water with bouillon cubes to a boil. Add diced celery, onions, and potatoes. Cook for 10 minutes on medium-medium high heat. Add turkey and ham, salt and pepper to taste. Cook for several minutes. Add giblet gravy for flavor/thickening, a couple dashes of garlic powder and tumeric each, and several dashes of poultry seasoning. Cook until potatoes are spoon tender. Add crumbled cornbread dressing prior to serving.
