I need to get over someone, and was wondering if anyone could give me advice.
I feel pretty strongly about this girl I know, we're both 22, and have known each other through high school. Recently, (about 5 months ago) we started going on dates, and we were both really enjoying ourselves. We never did put a label on what we had however. It was a relationship, but at the same time, it wasn't. Earlier this month we talked about how this probably couldn't turn into anything too serious, so we should just stay friends. We never had sex or anything, just making out and that sort of thing. But as previously stated, I'm still attached, and as a sort of new years resolution, I was trying to convince myself to 'get over her' or at the same time, tell her how I feel one last time. It's a difficult situation because she is really one of the best friends I've ever had, and at the same time I really don't want to mess that up. So, what I'm asking advice on is, do I let her know? And if so, how? there's got to be a better way to bring it up besides saying "I think I need to get over you"
TL:DR: Really like a girl, Want to make sure she feels the same way before I try and move on.
I need to do something soon I think, I haven't been able to think about much else lately, and if I do need to move on, maybe that's just what was meant to happen.
