[help] Yellowing paper with blue ink - removing yellowing?

Scanning in some handwritten captions to go with some family photos - they are written in blue ink on card that has now yellowed (damn cheap sticky photo albums!!).

I am trying to reduce the yellowing while still maintaining the blue of the ink and and ensuring the ink is still dark enough to read.

I don't need the background to be perfect white ... just not as yellow as it is currently. Most of my attempts to remove the yellowing are resulting in the ink fading as well.

I have linked to the original and my best attempt below, I'm still unhappy with my best attempt as now the background is quite blueish and probably still not as 'clean' as I'd like (not helped by the texture of the card).
