Should I give up Skyrim for Dark Souls?

I have played Skyrim for about 60 hours. I have not beat the main quest line or any of the really big side quests. I just play and play and it seems like the game just isn't my thing because it is too easy. I have had so many people tell me to put the game on the hardest difficulty and tell me that it is better but I just find the combat system to be too basic and more based on how well you can run around the enemy and attack and heal. I have however never played Dark Souls but by what people say is that it is much more rewarding. Should I keep playing Skyrim by starting over or just progressing or trade up for a copy of Dark Souls?
