Hey, r/gaming, what are some of your favorite video-game based novels?

Since getting a Kindle, I've been reading through the Star Wars books, most recently the Old Republic prequel trilogy. A quick browse through Amazon showed Mass Effect, Dead Space, Bioshock, Halo, and a few dozen other franchises that have been translated into books; what are your recommendations/favorites?
