Use One Big Monitor As Two Smaller Ones (Dual-Monitor Style)?

The "monitor" to my computer is a 42" LCD TV. Is there some kind of program I can use or application I can download that would essentially trick the computer into thinking I have a dual-monitor setup when I really just have one big monitor? I do a lot of work editing in Protools and FL Studio and, as nice as my big monitor is, it's much easier to work programs like this in a multi-monitor setup. Thanks much!
