Shaving my head question

Okay fellow dykes, I need some help. I am currently growing out my hair and I'm about to shave it again. So here is the problem: I always grow through the same cycle. Grow out hair, shave it into a mohawk, cut it all off, start again. I like having part of my head shaved allot, but I've had a mohawk a few times now and I'm looking for a new way to shave part of my head without having a mohawk. Any ideas would be appriciated.
