Can anyone tell me why a female snake would have a HUGE increase in appetite?

In the past 2 weeks our Sumatran Blood Python has eaten a total of 4 adult quail and 2 XXL rats. She is not a huge snake and I have no idea where she is putting it. She has also become very aggressive. If the light on her tank moves she is ready to strike. Any suggestions would be awesome.
