Can We Talk About Helen Boyd? (well . . . Gail Kramer)
I would like to say I've read both [Helen Boyd's] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helen_Boyd) books and this is what I think. I promise this is my goal for the month. But I can't even get past the excerpts on her website because they leave such a sour taste in my mouth. I don't hate everything on her [blog] (http://www.myhusbandbetty.com). But ...
Can we get another voice out there as a community of TRANS PARTNERS that's not:
"Well, not what I signed up for... but I guess I'll stick around." (I mean was it for the publishing credits?) or for those who have read the books and perhaps have a more holistic perspective on Gail/Helen as a woman tell me what I'm missing.
And why the pen name?
I totally admit I might have missed something positive she's said, but I find these books are REALLY upsetting. I find her endlessly negative voice so difficult to manage.
I'm so happy in my relationship. I want to share THAT with the world. If I wasn't happy I would leave, ya know?
What do you think? What do your partners think? Am I the only person wondering why the primary TRANS PARTNER voice is such a negative and compromising one?
