19 yr old living halfway across the world from family with no insurance, I need a cyst removed. What the hell am I supposed to do?
At a great loss of what to do and having nowhere else to turn I submit my worries to reddit to see if crowdsourcing this dilemma might help me out. Here's the situation: my boyfriend and I moved to Honolulu recently, and things were going swimmingly. I got a job at a Starbucks and hes working construction. We're living in a small, very socially pleasant hostel surrounded by some pretty great people, the only negative thing being the shared bathroom. Now I am very accident/infection prone and usually at very shitty times like now. We have no health insurance and about $800 between us right now (money is coming in slowly from taxes to paychecks but that's spread out) While at work today, I was realized I'm developing a Bartholin cyst (a hellish fluid filled sac in your goddamn vagina that makes sitting/walking/existing brutally painful. I've had one before but had access to a dr, pain meds and clean bedding/bathroom) I can't afford to miss work, but I know I need to see a doctor immediately. I can't risk having this develop into a drawn out process, especially with the risk of infection occurring. What the hell am I supposed to do? Tl;dr broke no insurance and living in hostel, have reoccuring large and painful vaginal cyst. Whats my best option? Please help.
