Guys stop downvoting the quickmemes, it's not how we work...

Downvotes are a source of negativity and should be used rarely and on posts that promote negative things like trolling, hate, or paints the community in a bad light.

If you don't like the quickmeme posts then just hide them and ignore them. If you want to drown them out so that bunches of them don't make it to the front page, then flood the new tab with good content.

Just find a good pic and post it. Easy. Classy. No one gets hurt.

That is not a rule the rest of Reddit follows. People are discouraged from posting in other places on Reddit because they're constantly being downvoted to oblivion.
