Reddit, my heart is broken, would you care to cheer me up?

I am 21 and engaged, my fiance is 25. I left university when I was 19, mainly due to being a psychology major while trying to rationalize and stabilize my relationship with a manic ex. I felt like I shouldn't give up on him (at the time) since I wanted a career in that very same field. That led me failing some core classes of mine due to having to stay home and tend to him and then finally I gave up on college all together to dedicate more time to pulling him back out of every one of his slumps.

Needless to say, we broke up not even a semester later, and leaving caused me to loose all my scholarships. I dove into the work force and hated it. I was never satisfied with the work I did. More redundant than analytical for my taste. Tried to get many jobs that allowed me to actually think, can't without experience, can't get a job in the fields for the experience...

Eventually met my fiance who is absolutely amazing and sane. We've talked it over a lot and he told me tonight that I should go back to college because it's where my heart is. I really, truely did love my major. Sat in advanced classes to get a feel for it, met a professor who asked me to join her "group" which was mostly seniors and the professors primming their students for graduate school. She loved me, let me review case studies and learn from the work of the other members. Explained that I was the only freshmen in the group and she loved my drive, loved my passion and wanted me to work with them and by my senior year she'd have me perform my first study--rare opportunity that she promised would get the grants and scholarships I needed for graduate school to go all the way. I never wanted anything more, but I gave it all up for my ex. She understood and told me to contact her if I ever come back.

Anyway, so we talked it over, my fiance and I, and it's just wretched. I am still paying off loans from when I was there for 2 years, and I don't see how I could possibly go back. He said maybe once we are married and have child(ren) then I'll be able to get the money I need to attend. But I doubt ever so much that it will be possible.

So I am asking, please Reddit. I have been up for hours crying while looking through pictures of my old stomping grounds and I just need a happy cat or something. Perk me up, friends.

Edit:I don't fully regret my decision. My fiance has told me several times that the only reason he had never made a move in the beginning was because I was, in fact, in college and he figured I'd pass him over because he was not, and could do better. I'm rather astonished by this because his intelligence never comes into play with my feelings for him because even without a degree under his belt, he is still a highly intuitive person that I adore.
