New to chiptunes, what is the best Gameboy DMG or Gameboy pocket?

Hi, like the title says, I want to make chiptune and I saw custom gameboys on internet with backlight, pro sound ect... Before I buy a gameboy and all the things with it I want to know what is the best for chiptune, gameboy DMG (original) or gameboy pocket? First I wanted to buy a gameboy DMG but then I saw gameboy pocket are also customizable with backlight ect but also someone put a GBA SP battery on it, and I really want that, also it's more "portable", can someone please tell me what are the pro and the cons of the two systems? And why one is better than other for chiptune? Thanks in advance and sorry for my english.
