Am I missing out on life too much?
Here I am, on the eve of my 18^th birthday. I spent the last few hours just lying around and thinking. A good portion of my youth has past, and I have not done things many of my peers have accomplished. 18 years old, and I haven't dated anyone, haven't kissed a girl, haven't even been out at night with friends. Hell, I can count on one hand the number of times I left the house this year without my parents, excluding school and hockey. The only parties I go to are the dinners my parents take me to. It's partially because of my semi-conservative parents, but they can't take all the blame, they don't stop me from going to a friends house to game or seeing a movie. My friends at school often call me sheltered, and recently I began to think about what they say.
I am not depressed, but neither am I happy. Reddit, I want to know what I'm missing out on, if it really is that important, and if I should make an active effort to change my life. I just don't want to be 35, looking back on my youth and thinking "what a waste."
