Occupy TV

The cold weather is finally here across the country, many Occupy tent sites have been cleared by police, and we have come across a problem. The media is making its lack of interest and discussion in post-tent Occupy seem like the movement has ended to the majority of Americans with access to a television or the internet.

I know there are many people out there reading this who probably don't support Occupy or the Occupiers, but I am asking that you hear me out, an American citizen who doesn't Occupy, but it still nonetheless upset with the way our country is going, hear me out.

I'm proposing a suggestion for not only those already bravely and amazingly dedicated to the movement, but also to those who are fed up with the way our country is going.

Whether it be the economy, Congress, education costs, our party system, the electoral system...Whatever it be that upsets and hurts you as an American citizen, it is time to be heard. As Americans that are unhappy, we can not let the media drop all these issues we, the people, have like they aren't important, and just sit back as they continue to talk all day about the wants and problems of the very politicians and people we're mad at.

Television is the most common use of communication by the media, and therefore we should make it our duty to call in, be at live shows, etc.

It's time to take a stand America. Occupy has already done a great job of using the internet as a means of communication and spreading awareness, but it is not enough. In order for there to be change, Occupy needs help. Occupy needs people to realize its not a movement of just "Occupiers," this is a movement of the American People.

Occupy should use its wonderful ability to use the internet so well, as well as its ability to arrange public meetings, to bring people together in order to make this possible. People of all sides of the 99%, be it you're a devoted Occupier or just an American unhappy with things, should team up to never stop being heard.

Spread the word and the need for change.

TL,DR: -Due to cold weather and many tent sites evicted, the media is making it seem like the Occupy Movement has ended -Fed-up Americans and devoted members of Occupy should team up to be publicly heard by the most common mean of communication by the media: Television -Call in, be at live shows, get on TV -Spread the word, and the need for change.
