Galaxy S II driver issues.

I have a galaxy S2 that I updated with Odin to 2.3.6 from the XDA website, everything was working fine then about a day ago I reformatted my PC and then Kies, now when I connect the Galaxy, it gives me the 'A USB Device malfunctioned and could not be...etc etc' then 'A device driver was not installed correctly'.

Ive tried the driver recovery feature in Kies, Ive uninstalled the driver manually and reinstalled key, it doesnt even show up the memory folder in explorer.

Im running Windows 7, any advice or ideas would be hugely appreciated.
