Reddit: The New Political Power
Greetings Reddit. I'm posting this today because I believe we are on the brink of something truly amazing.
The problems in our government are many, and targeting just a few of the biggest and most vulnerable problem-makers won't be enough to enact true and lasting change. For this reason, I believe its time for us to organize- to make our own party. The Reddit Party.
Now, I'm not suggesting we attempt to put up our own candidates. At this point, we simply don't have the numbers to make a big enough impact. However, we can endorse those candidates for national seats that act in favor of those things we believe in the most. We can build a support base for those people, and ensure that they get the exposure they deserve for earning our trust.
Everyone can be involved. You don't have to be in a particular district to donate to a campaign. You don't have to be voting age to raise awareness. You don't even have to be American to give your support.
With the power of Reddit, and the skills and knowledge we can bring to bear, we can do more than just desire change. We can enforce it. With something like this, we can use information- our greatest weapon- to help those who otherwise don't know who would best represent them.
This is our voice. Let them hear it to the ends of the Earth.
