Cleanse then Keto?

Note: I don't want to hear people say "cleanses are bullshit" I don't give a fuck about your feelings on the subject unless you can prove it.

I've been reading about keto for the past couple of years on the bodybuilding.com forums and i'm considering finally taking the dive in spite of my fears and hesitations. I'm 5'11 and 185lbs, everyone looks at me and thinks I look fit and good but I'm not, I'm just good at hiding my fat with well fitting clothes. I want to drop 10-15lbs to improve my rock climbing efficiency.

I'm considering kicking it off with a cleanse to help me get rid of my sugar cravings. I did one several years ago and didn't crave sugars much as i did before but I do now. My logic is that if the cleanse will help limit sugar and carb cravings (which it did last time) then I will have an easier time adjusting to keto.

The cleanse kit I'm looking at is the Wild Rose one. Which is more of a lymphatic and liver cleanse than a bowel cleanse. they recommend not eating any fermented products including flour of any grain and cheese. No restrictions on meats or vegetables, fruits not recommended either. Should I be okay starting keto for the 12 day duration of the program?

Another concern I have with keto is damage to liver and kidneys and sodium content in a lot of the foods people say are awesome for the diet. How can I monitor cholesterol effectively?
