Udyr's passive?

Forgive me if this has been discussed before but whats up with Udyr's passive. When I see the other champs with dodge, they have had a rework where it is replaced with something else to aid the champ. I realize that Udyr still receives the second bonus of AS, but why was there no replacement to the dodge side of his passive? Would it be broken to give him some bonus armor or something? I just wondered why they completely removed a part of his kit without subbing in some other sort of survivability in its place.

Also, I know he's still a great champ, but it feels wrong that they just took something away that was somewhat helpful to him.
