Flying down to San Diego from Seattle tomorrow. Will be there through NYE, and would love your advice/to grab a beer/to go rock climbing.
This will be my third or fourth time in San Diego. I'm a craft beer addict from a fellow beer city, so I know what I'm going to be spending a fair portion of my time doing. Staying in Gaslamp (cliché, I know), and my roommate and his girlfriend will be joining me on NYE, but until then I have a lot of time to spend exploring.
Read all the sidebar links and have met a few people from San Diego, so I have a few ideas for what to do. But I've got a few questions, if anyone would be so kind to answer:
-
Would anyone know where I can watch the Alamo Bowl on Thursday evening, preferably somewhere near Gaslamp? It's the Baylor vs. University of Washington game and I'd really like to see it.
-
I have a pretty decent plan of what I want to do and see this time around in San Diego, but are there r/sandiego meetups happening in the next few days? If not, would anyone like to go grab a beer?
-
I love to rock climb and stuff (bouldering, specifically). Nursing a slightly tweaked shoulder right now, but I plan on visiting Solid Rock while I'm there. Does anyone go there regularly? I'd love to go bouldering with you!
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to spending a few days in San Diego. While I'm a Seattleite, I'm moving to Stockholm — where I don't know anyone — in a few weeks.
I figured spending a few days by myself in San Diego — where I also don't know anyone — would be a good test of myself to see whether I can handle it. That said, I'm definitely game to meet any fellow redditors!
Thanks everyone!
