I need someone to keep tabs on me. I'm a fantasy writer, and I'll never get my stuff done alone. I owe my characters more than that.

What is there to say? We all know what being lazy can do, what procrastination feels like. I can't really use my depression as an excuse because I'm finally getting over that (new therapist and meds - best I've felt in years).

So now I have to do the thing I keep saying I'll do. Write. It's all I've ever wanted to do, most of the time the only thing I think about. I'm living in the digital age, during the (possibly) greatest media revolution- between the kindle, youtube, torrenting and wikipedia I can not only have my work online but everyone in the world can have access to it. In minutes, or even seconds.

And, to sound just like a hipster, I've loved this idea for years. I'm making a wiki right now for my world, adding supplementary information and info that all writers sort of have, but the fans never get. Straight from my head to the readers- that's what I would like most. People to read my work. Ideally pay for some of it, but I'm going to purposefully have it online to read free (along with kindle editions to buy).

Can you imagine how amazing that can be in the correct hands? I by no means have the skills of Tolkien, but what is John Ronald Reuel had an internet connection. The scale that can be accomplished, even by one person, with the additional aid of things online is staggering.

If Martin wrote updates about Westeros as often as he mentioned football, or Rowling- well, hell, Rowling is already setting up an online station with Pottermore.

I want in on it. I want my piece of the digital revolution, my piece of Fantasy. Rowling and Martin are having their time, and I'll be damned before I give up on trying to reach that circle.

But I haven't written anything. Well, that's a lie. I have about half a million words in scraps, notes and false-starts. But nothing solid.

I owe my characters more, I owe myself more.

So I need someone to chat with. Someone to tell me to write, who understand how difficult this is. I don't want to disappoint someone, so I never start. I would love a friend who won't take my excuses, but I don't feel ashamed to discuss my failing with.

If I don't write I don't know what I'll do in life. It's the only thing I've wanted to do as a job, I know these fictional people better than anyone. And you all deserve to know them too.

EDIT: Ah, duh, left no form of contact. Feel free to send me a PM, I also have the following chat clients-
