Some thoughts at a [7] the other night. (First post ever.)

So this is my first post to reddit. Was baked the other night (forgive me if you find this a bit hard to follow) and started writing down some thoughts, thought you guys might like to read...

Life is not a complete story. It does not start at the 'start' or end at an 'end'. There is a human interpretation of the history of events in geology, biology, cosmology etc. There is a birth and a death for each one of us but they all overlap. We do not live life from the 'start' of the story, there is no 'end'. Instead, we have been given a portion of time to do what we will with it; and it is because of this that makes what we do with it, so important. Not just for you, but for everyone alive, now and in the future. All acts are significant.

We are born incomplete, and most will die incomplete. This happens because people believe that "we are who we are, we merely grow older and learn from life's lessons along the way; this is maturity." This is the common man's greatest folly. Time is not the path to maturity, age does not equate to wisdom. Life, reality, yourself; everything is in a constant state of motion. Motion produces change. And it continues to change until the motion stops. 'Feng song'. Tao. Nothingness. A great empty void, full of infinite possibilities. The potential for anything, as it is yet undecided, and never will be. This is feng song, this is the state of change. Nothing in life is fixed. If it appears to be in a fixed state, it is because it is being perceived as being in a fixed state and so it is accepted as such. The act of accepting something to be in a fixed state, forces it into this fixed state. But still, this holds no truth. In another instance, the very same thing that is fixed for you, might not be for someone else. They may view it in the same image as you, but if they have not accepted it as finished, if they choose to see that it still in motion then it has the potential to become something entirely different. If they have practiced self-cultivation, then potentially , they are in a position to choose; it becomes what they decide it to be, and will continue to do so until it is let go. Your reality and your view of yourself is constructed by the things you have accepted into it. Instead, if we accept nothing. Accept nothing, other than that everything is in flux, then we are in a position of freedom and this offers us the power to choose.

Employing this perpetually to every facet of life is no easy task. Few will try, and probably none will succeed. Start with yourself. See your 'self' in this way. Your life, your portion of time; not the things in it. It is just that. Time. Do with it what you will. Pay little mind to common convention and how others choose to spend theirs or what they think of yours.

Never settle for yourself. Choose not to see yourself as this way or that, but rather as flux. A constant growth. Always strive to further yourself and the world will be a better place, both for you and for those with whom you interact.
