Forgive me if this has already been asked...

... but I've looked all over google and haven't been able to find an answer. My guide won't re-summon after fighting the Wall of Flesh for the first time. I have adequate housing for him, I can't find him on the map (though I'm not 100% positive of that), I've quit the world and restarted, I've quit the game and restarted, I've started a new world and allowed a slime to kill me.

I've been stuck at this point for several hours now and I've not been able to fix it. So I beg you terrareddit, how to I get my guide to respawn?

I've also tried deleting steam data and then reinstalled the game.
