Why all the love for dynamically typed?

Most of my programming experience has been using strongly typed languages (Java, C++, C#). At work, I use C# and really enjoy the language and visual studio as an IDE. The intellisense is great and helps me along with programming. I always see people cheering and praising Python, but I just haven't figured out why. I personally find the documentation for Python to be an absolute pain to go through. On MSDN, searching for methods and classes is much cleaner and simpilar.

The one thing that I really can't get over in dynamically typed languages, though is the lack of good intellisense. The very fact that the IDE cannot predict what a variable is going to be makes it impossible to accurately assist the programmer. I would rather use a strongly typed language so that I have full assistance by the IDE and compiler.

Does anyone else feel this way?
