Help Needed - South Islander traveling around the North Island for two weeks.

Hey there guys and girls.

SO.. I'm tripping round the NI after NY's at Coro Gold. My girlfriend (we're both 23) is coming with me and we pretty much want to have an awesome time and explore what the island has to offer.

After Coro Gold we're heading up to Auckland, picking up some motorbikes and heading north. Any suggestions for places to check out? Beaches, sweet spots, whatever.

After we have a few days up there we'll be coming down south of Auckland and would love some suggestions of good places to check out. Help me out guys, any input will be greatly appreciated.

Also, as a side, any friendly folk out there with a sander that I can call in and use for half an hour? I've never met anyone through reddit before, would be kinda cool. I've got a couple of really small herb planter boxes that need a quick run over. I will pay you in the beer or chocolate of your choosing..
