Where do I go from here? Just a musician needing advice. [x-post from /r/AskReddit]

I'm 19 years old. I'm a musician, and have been for many years. I started learning small piano pieces and writing basic songs when I was 9 years old. I also started writing poetry around that time to deal with all of the emotions. Now, I play guitar, try to sing, and I do a lot of electronic production, including live production (i.e. pad controllers, MIDI, etc).

The problem is.. I'm not very confident in my "talent" (or lack thereof) or my music, so I'm not the best marketer for what I release. I've released an album and an EP so far, both of completely different styles. The album was an experimental electronic album that experimented with influences from progressive rock, dubstep, EDM, punk, and several others. The EP was simply an experimental, poorly produced demo that tested the waters of metal, acoustic rock, rapcore, and instrumental rock. Both were commercial flops with around 10-15 sales total. Everyone I ask says that they're complete garbage and that I have no future in music.

I love making music with everything I have in me, but I don't know how much longer I can go with being told that I'm a failure by my own family and friends just because I picked this career path.

If you're brave enough to listen to my music, here's the link: http://www.tensioninrain.com/

My question is.. Where do I go from here? I desperately need some advice on what to do.
