IAMA 41 year old male that was prescribed Levaquin for a sinus infection then diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 2 weeks later. AMA
This happened March 2011. The Levaquin was given to me for a sinus infection. On the eighth day of taking it, I woke up to get ready for work, dropped my toothbrush, reached down to pick it up and was greeted with severe vertigo, double vision and numbness in my mouth. I called the doctor and was asked to come back in. She prescribed me Ciprofloxacin and scheduled an MRI. Lo and behold...MS. I still think the Levaquin did it. 41 years old and perfectly healthy until then. I was also told the MS could have been dormant and the Levaquin brought it on.
