In regards to SOPA and the piracy "issue," how many of you spent more on games in 2011 than any other year?

I know I did.

My Steam library expanded from ~20 games, to over 60 and is still growing every day.

My Origin (Opinions aside) library, went from 0 to 2.

SW:ToR, 6 Xbox360 games (And a new Xbox360 Slim), 3 DS games, a 3DS, probably close to $100 on League of Legends, and I'm sure I'm missing something.

I'll be the first to admit that 5 years ago, I was one of the people who'd be attempting to pirate games before they even came out. Now that I have the financial resources to support my hobby, I do everything I can to "return the favor." I've spent hundreds of dollars this year on games I've yet to even touch, just because I want to support the developers that have provided me with years of entertainment. I've purchased games that I pirated years ago, that I enjoyed, for the similar reasons.

Piracy allowed me to expand my horizon in terms of what games I play. When I first considered myself a "gamer," I played RPGs and that was it. Nowadays, I'll play RPGs, MMOs, FPSs, RTSs, LoL/Dota games, basically anything that even remotely piques my interest. I can confidently say that because of piracy, I've spent far more money on video games then I ever would have otherwise.
