What is it like to take and return fire? What is war really like. It is something I would like to have a better understanding of.

Both my grandparents were in the military. One in WWII decoding German transmissions and the other in the Navy during Vietnam. My Uncle was some sort of special forces not really sure what. Said he did some work down in Latin America. I have a lot of respect for anyone involed in our armed forces but I am against our current situation. I don't know where I was going with this. I guess I'm trying to say that anyone involved are the bravest people out there.
