Jrue + Humphries for Deron?
I've been offered Deron Williams for my Jrue Holiday and Kris Humphries. Yahoo, 12-team H2H, standard 9 categories plus FGM, FTM, OREB.
My Team:
PG: John Wall, Jrue Holiday, Andre Miller
SG: Marcus Thornton, Gerald Henderson
SF: Carmelo Anthony, Paul George
PF: Pau Gasol, Kris Humphries, Amir Johnson
C: Javale McGee, Chris Kaman
Free Agents: Budinger, Morrow, Meeks, Salmons, Perkins, Bayless, Hickson, Mayo, Jordan Crawford, Vince, Brandon Knight, Daye, Barea, Turner, McBob, Baron, Marvin, etc
I'm currently weaker in assists and threes, so naturally my target is a point guard with range. Deron's been sucking it up to start to season so I figure I make the move and pick him up while he's cheap. I don't even need my top PG to get him, I can use my second PG. I've always made 2 for 1 trades in the past in order to get a better player and free up a roster spot to pick up hot free agents, and it's worked out well in the past. I wonder if I'm giving up too much this time.
I have Humps averaging about 14 and 12 with a block on the season and Jrue eventually playing himself out of his slow start to get to about 16/6/4 with a three and a steal. My worry is that the Nets are a total mess and Deron not being able to get back on track (not to mention Deron's injury risk and Jrue played 82 games last season - their final season ranks last year were 40 and 41). I'd hope that he's able to get back to 20/9/4 with 1.5 threes and a steal with 45% FG, but then I'd essentially be giving up a top-5 rebounder in a league that has two reb categories for an extra 4 points, 3 assists per game and a roster spot.
Thoughts?

I wouldn't do it. Deron is going through the motions this season and you will do pretty well with assists without him.
