Pain relief for DISH using cannabis - Need advice

I am a 36F with diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH). Unfortunately it is pretty advanced in some of my spine, particularly my cervical vertebrae.

DISH is a type of arthritis where ligaments and surrounding tissues of your spine calcify and can fuse together. There is no way to slow, stop or reverse this damage.

On top of this I also have degenerative disk disease and had to have back surgery a few years ago. I’m looking at more back surgery in the future due to severe degeneration in my lumbar vertebrae and sacroiliac joints along with spinal stenosis. I essentially have the spine of a very unfortunate 80 year old. This disease is also effecting my hips, and right now I’m staring hip surgery right in the face and trying to avoid it as the recovery period is a month. I have a 19 month old child, and while doable thanks to a supportive family, this would not be ideal. The idea of not being able to pick up my baby for a whole month makes me want to cry.

I have tried just about everything for pain relief including gabapentin, anti inflammatory medications, steroid injections, PT and probably some others in just blanking on at the moment. I have opioids to take when it is severe, but I am not a fan of how they make me feel or the potential issues they can cause.

I live in a state where recreational marijuana is legal, as well as medical licenses available. My husband and I have been trying to piece together of this would legitimately be beneficial for my condition and treat my pain. Does anyone out there use this to treat any advanced arthritis, especially with spinal problems? I would genuinely appreciate your feedback and advice!

If you read all this, thank you! I hope my post finds you well.
