Solar charging question.

Question

Sorry, I know there’s a lot of solar related questions.

I’ve made a mistake and bought an Epever 30A mppt. It has one output. I have a 150w solar panel (might add another panel in the future).

I have decided I want to charge my leisure battery and my starter battery from solar. That way my starter battery can be maintained if it is left for a short while without running.

Because I only have one output on my mppt I have been trying to figure out the best way to do this.

I intended to connect the output of the mppt to a changeover switch I could then flick to either side of the switch depending on which one I wanted to charge. I then realised I might be able to automate by putting a split charge relay there instead.

But Ive realised that both these methods will disconnect the battery from the mppt and the controller will then not recognise the battery (is that right)

I wanted to know if either of these methods would work or if I need to go back to drawing board.

EDIT: I suppose my other option would be to wire a changeover switch between solar panel and mppt then install another charge controller on the other leg of the changeover switch going down to starter battery?
