John Gaeta confirms his involvement with Matrix 4 content (likely VR), believes Keanu's commitment to the role and franchise will lead to a good film
First, here are a couple of relevant past threads:

https://www.reddit.com/r/matrix/comments/nhp3v1/john_gaeta_might_be_working_on_matrix_vrarmretc/
where we explored the possibility Gaeta is involved with either the new film itself, or creating VR/AR/etc side-content for the new film.
Now there is this new interview with him, where he wears one of those hoodies the Matrix 4 cast/crew have been shown to wear, and his involvement gets confirmed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgvEv4HCHxo
From the video's description (and intro):
Today, 2020, John Gaeta is forging a new generation of The Matrix. In collaboration with Lana Wachowski and with the support of Warner Bros./ATT, he steers the development and producing of Immersive Entertainment, Experiences ,World Building, XR and Real Time Cinema across the future franchise.
Then at around 01:20:00:
Interviewer: Tell me a little bit of the movie and I also understand that although probably it's covered by nondisclosure that there is more than the movie that you're engaged in, actually you engage in the VR immersive side, so I'm very curious about that side, to the extent you can talk about it.
Then Gaeta responds that he cannot say anything without WB/HBO's approval, and he doesn't want his comment to lead to articles getting written, so he does not elaborate on his involvement.
But he did say this about the film, and why he thinks it's going to be good:
The things that I can say, is that the film is slated for release in December, it is a return to similar characters as the trilogy, so obviously there's a through line to some degree of the narrative. I do know that the shoot was successfully completed despite a very difficult year that all films, you know, had, so from my understanding it was actually in the end a very successful shoot [and] that some very impressive and incredible scenes have been created, so we shall see.
I haven't seen the cut so I can't tell you for sure, but I think that the one thing I can say about Keanu is that, anyone who's read any articles with him, knows that he is a sort of a foundational supporter of this IP. He has had a very positive relationship, you know, with the role of Neo and he's an inspired person and he's still to this day the whole time I've known him 20 years he is still as vibrant and energetic and engaged in the subject matter, and he's always had an interest in the subcultures, you know, that surround the ideas of The Matrix.
This is the best, you know, sort of thing you could hope for with your cast. That they, you know, they believe right in the the value and integrity of the story and the world and you know that's the most I would say about it is that I expect a good result, is what I expect.
